Mizuho Island Spirits is a non-aged Awamori (“Ippanshu”) distilled by “Mizuho Distillery” on the Okinawan island of Ryukyu. Awamori is the oldest distilled Spirit from Japan. It is made from rice and black koji (malted rice) mould, distilled one-time and only produced on the islands of Okinawa. Mizuho Distillery launched Mizuho Island Spirits as a new way of drinking awamori as a cocktail ingredient.
